Geotechnical Engineering
JFC provides a wide variety of Geotechnical Engineering services to evaluate and determine the general engineering properties of the subsurface soils and rock to provide recommendations for design and development of foundations for specific projects. Investigation techniques, using both a field and laboratory program, and site conditions, consisting of surface, subsurface, and geologic, are used in the evaluation of soils, rock, groundwater, seismic consideration and excavatability. From this evaluation, JFC analyzes the information and provides specific recommendations for all aspects of the specific project.
Below are some examples of the type of services JFC provides:
Subsurface Investigations - Heavy industrial structures, transportation and infrastructure, residential development, and forensic and specialty projects.
Shallow and Deep Foundation Systems
Earth Retaining Structure Design
Earth Embankment Design - Impoundment of floodwater and wastewater.
Ground Modification Engineering - Mass excavation, geosynthetics, and specialty techniques.
Laboratory Testing - Determine soil properties and define classifications.
Our Geotechnical Reports, produced from these investigations, include scope of the project, detail from the site analysis and laboratory testing, and specific recommendations for all aspects of the particular project.
