Site / As-Built / Land Planning
Site/As-built surveys are generally conducted for the design/planning purposes prior to construction of, or enhancements to, existing features. Preparation for a site survey includes, but is not limited to, all easements and utilities being researched prior to the field survey. The survey will then be conducted to obtain specific detail on the existing features and conditions of the project area. A topographic survey will usually be included to obtain the terrain characteristics and elevations for civil site design. This information will help support the placement of structures, utilities, earthwork, curb and gutter, etc. CAD (Computer Aided Design) drawings are then prepared from the information gathered from the field survey. Examples of these types of surveys may include:
Subdivisions
Oil and Gas Well Pads
Haul Roads
Ponds
Mining Interests
Industrial Sites
Commercial Sites
